ok... i think that the reason that liam is in such a good position in his career is because hes not one of those cheesy kid actors thats always playing the "goofy" role.. you know? like hes always had serious roles such as in stepmom, sweet november, road to perdition etc. etc. get it? .. well the most recent flicks he's done are the cheesy "family movies" such as good boy, and ASOUE (ASOUE isnt really that cheesy though, but still.... it's a family film) And this is starting to remind me alot of frankie muniz. he started out as a GREAT kid actor with his sitcom and "my dog skip" but THEN.. dun dun dun... he started with the agent cody banks movies.. that was a HORRIBLE career move.. youve seen what its done.. now hes portrayed as a cheesy kid actor... not a serious actor with a handle on his career...
I think that if Liam went back into serious movies again.. not neccesarilly (sp?) dramas... but more teen movies.. that teens are likely to watch, then his career will blossom even more than it already has... but if he takes these jobs with airborn or the alex rider movies then i think its going to go straight downhill.. and we cant have that... there will be no more liam.. and thats BAD!
His acting skills are far too great to spend them on kids movies... I could see him in the film industry for a very long time to come if he went with more teenagerish films. But nobody wants a kid to play in their movies if everyone thinks of them as a certain character... and everyone seeing them as a certain family film character makes it much worse.

I see what your saying. It's kind of like the Leo DiCaprio thing after Titanic. Everyone thought he was a teeny bopper.
I'd still want him to do Airborn, but only if a good director is attached to it. It's really epic.
he hasn't really broken through yet though, I think this could be the one.

yeah, there would absolutely have to be a good director... like with lemony snicket's, it wouldve been a horrible movie (no offense to anyone) if they hadn't had a great director. So I guess that that makes all the difference.

It seems up Spielbergs alley, but he wouldn't do it unless Dreamworks was involved, and this is being put out by Universal. As long as the following people don't touch it, I'm good: Micheal Bay, Brett Ratner, and while I appreciate that Stephen Sommers is producing it, I would rather not have him direct it (I was never a fan of the The Mummy movie - then there was Van Helsing although I did like Jungle BooK) I'd rather have Chris Columbus than any of them

I agree with you also...but this is what I also disagree on...if he does teenagerish type films (like those happy-giddy, hilary-duff and muniz films) then I think that would kill his career also...he needs to do moves with a meaning or movtive(sp?) behind it made for ppl of our age...

*claps* He should do some movies with a theme or a reason........ a good reason. For example, Stepmom. He was great in that movie, so he should do more movies of that type. The point is that Liam would ruin his career if he did kiddy, teenagerish movies. Kinda like Daniel Radcliffe with the Harry Potter sha-bang. He's labeled as Harry Potter, so basicly, people know him as Harry Potter. I would hate if that happened to Liam. I still liked ASOUE and Goodboy! though. But that's my point of view. Thank you for your time.

Soooo do we want him to do Airborn? I think he should! It's not a stereotype kind of role at all. Matt Cruse is a pretty serious character if you've read the book. It's going to be this really epic adventure and he'll look SO dashing in a flyboy uniform He'd look a bit like this:

i don't think airborn will be that kiddyish. i imagine it to be like pirates of the carribean. and i bet they'll pick a really pretty girl for it! stephen sommers will direct the movie and stephen sommers is more of a mature director so this one's definitely going to be exciting than take home kiddy movies

hope-fully airborn isn't like that, but has anyone noticed that most of his are (how can I put this?)...mildly dark...not those happy roles..so airborn probably is "dark"
