What's the deal with the lable anyway? A lot of people find Fan Girls nauseating. I myself am usually one of them. I mean come on, there's only so many times you can say "OMG LIAM IS HOT" but I don't see a lot of that on this board. I find everyone here to be very mature, with an occasional moment of Fan Girliness. Who can blame us though? Liam is hot. There's not getting around it.
Fan Girl: Liam is gorgeous. He has brilliant green eyes and a smile that could kill. His voice make me melt when I hear it and that mischieveious look he constantly gives makes me weak in the knees. He plays guitar and wears Chucks. He's a punk fan and has an adorable laugh. And his hair, oh his hair, it's amazing, perfect even.
"Real" Fan: Liam has an incredible sense of maturity. He's wise beyond his year. There's this amazing depth of emotion to him, he can readily access any given emotion. There's something pure about his acting, he's untainted by the world, he just gives a performance that's amazing and free of any kind of baggage. He seems very real and identifiable with the audience. He makes you feel like you know him just through his extremely honest portrayl of life.
I think all those things about Liam. Why can't I be both? Why can't I be a Fan Girl and a "Real" Fan? You can't tell me you don't think Liam is attractive. If he were ugly, I doubt many of us would be here. Is that shallow? Hell yes. But it's true. The world isn't black and white; it's grey. I have no problem saying that I am a Fan Girl because I know that there's a depth to my appreciation for Liam. I understand that I'm drawn to him because I'm attracted to him but at the same time he really is an amazing actor. I know for some people it's hard to believe you can think someone is hot and a good actor. But trust me, sometimes it happens. And I guess that is all I have to say about that.
I guess I just felt like a lot of us are misunderstood. I wanted to let my feelings on the whole "geeky fan girl" subject known. I think it's ok in a healthy dossage and if it makes you happy why should you deny yourself that? Liam makes me happy, his acting AND his handsomeness make me very happy, why should I pretend they dont?
