My parents sent some money to one of the relief funds, but it just doesn't feel like enough. We should be able to do more!
I was really worried about the webmaster of The Quiet World, Michael, because he was on vacation in India. Fortunately, the tsunami didn't hit where he was staying, but it could have been him... he told me that 11,000 people had died, and days later that number had turned into 17,000, or something like that. That's entire cities worth of people dead. That is just scary.

I know... It's like a nightmare. I want to give money to a relief fund, but I don't even know where to begin... In new reports there are pics of corpses (disfigured beyond belief) just laying there. I also heard that in one of the places that was hit with a tsunami, when the tide went out, a mile of the seabed was exposed. I'd have hated to be dragged out to sea in that area... This is just so unreal

I even talked to my mom about it and she was sure that noting happened to him because India was not hit so severely.

I dunno. Today we had an assembly and this eight year old kid who's been doing charity stuff since he was five spoke, and there was a tv crew and blah blah. He's 8, how can he say he's lived, how can he know that he's making a difference? I just feel like he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Mmmm... an eight-year old doing charity work as if he's seen it all before is a little strange...

What really made me realize what was happening when I saw CNN's Voices of the Tsunami. I didn't really realize that water could do that much damage. And that poor Swedish boy, I saw a picture of him holding a piece of paper that said: Missing: My mother, father, two brothers, and a sister with his name underneath it. Sad.

One of my really close friends best friend lives were the Tsunami struck and my friend was freaking out cause she didn't here anything from the girl and she was so scared something happened to her. It turned out that their house had been destroyed but the girl was okay, she'd been somewhere the day it happened. They were living in a shelter or something then though so she didn't have the Internet (now they're with her grandparents in China for a while so that's why she was able to here from her.)
