I didn't know this before, but didn't Liam's dad die of cancer? If he did, then it's really sad. From what I heard it was when Liam was really young so he wouldn't have remembered it, but it's still bad. I know lots of people who have close relatives that have died from illness or conditions, and it's terrible.

Yeah, having your dad die does infact blow. Take it from me. But what a lot of people don't understand is it doesn't ruin your life. It gets tough at times but you don't dwell on it everyday. At least I don't. I've gained a better understanding of the world from it. People die, people leave but life still goes on. If you only focus on those things you won't be living your life at all.

Yeah, I suppose even when things like that happen you just have to get on with it. My grandma died of cancer when I was 7. I'm angry that my parents didn't tell me she was going to die, or even what was wrong. But they did it to protect me. Every so often I have a little cry about it, but I realised early on that everyone will experience bureavement in their lives.

My grandma passed on when I was 7 as well, except it was in a car accident that I was in too. Then my dad died in a car accident when I was 11. And a few days ago a friend of mine was ran over and his friends moved him severing his spine. He's had back surgery and is in critical condition. As of now I don't really know what's happening. I guess what I'm saying is in life you suffer many blows, but it is your job to pick up the pieces and put them back together. Moving on is often what heals the pain.
OMG, what I am a therapist? lol I'll shut up now.

I guess it's like Snicket himself has said, if you haven't lost someone, you can't possibly imagine what it's like. My cousin died last year, but I didn't really know him. I was just upset about my dad being upset. That was his nephew. And the sad thing is that maybe if he hadn't eaten so much fatty crap, his arteries wouldn't have collapsed. One of his daughters is my age and already overweight. It's just messed up. That's gotta stop. Other than that, my grandma died when I was 3, and I don't remember that at all. My sister always tells the story of how I thanked the priest for coming, and everyone says that I asked why there was a picture of her. Death is just a strange concept, and I have no clue how I would handle it if someone I really knew and was close to died. Wow, I suddenly feel horrible for crying on September 11th and not when my own cousin died. How much do I suck?! Well, I have no right to discuss this matter since I probably haven't a clue what I'm talking about, so I'll shut up now.
