I wouldn't let ANYONE tell me who died. Everytime someone talked to me that day I covered my ears until they assured me it wasn't about Harry Potter, haha.
I wasn't surprised, though, when it happened. That character was definitely on my list of people to die.
That sounded a bit morbid, heh...

EEEEE!!! I was SOOOOOOO happy when Harry's feelings towards...her...started. It's one of my favorite ships. Too bad they decided to call it off in the end. Maybe they'll get over themselves and DATE AGAIN IN THE NEXT BOOK!! ;D

I finished Sunday at 2 am. I had some obligations before I could read (grrr). And my thoughts I'll just copy from what I wrote in my blog (don't worry there aren't any spoilers and I wrote it like right when I finished reading.)
I've been crying for what seems like forever. (Not to worry, I'm not giving out spoilers or anything) I'm just in shock. I can't believe what I feel like I have endured. I feel strange because it's "just a book" to many people. But in some ways I've become Harry. Throughout my six long years as an incredible faithful fan, I've been moved and touched as if it were my own life. They become so much more than mere words on a page, the become a part of who I am as a person. In this book I feel like any innocense and child-like mindset in Harry has died, and in some ways I felt it die in me too. I'm no longer the girl with "the wall" I took it down, in no way did it make me less of a fan, but in growing up I felt it had to go. But now I want it back, but I threw most of it away. Why would I do that? Why would I sacrifice what's important to me to appease to the average person? I dunno... I'm in this really weird frame of mind right now. I'm feeling really lost in all aspects of my life. The tragedy of the book really makes me think "what the hell am I doing with my life" and are the things I do really truly what I want to be doing. In most cases yes, in some cases no. And in some I'm too cowardly to take chances. I don't think I can sleep. I can't function. This new knowlege of the horror's of something deeply important to my overall existance has scarred me. I sound fucking crazy and immature that this book, this story is so big in my life, but I see Harry in myself, I see the sense of loss and the sense that I can take my tragedy and go on to do great things. Harry Potter was there when my dad was alive and he sure as hell was there to comfort me when he died. For me whatever part of Harry I see inside of me is what helps me to go on and conquer my fears and reservations. So now, as I hopelessly bawl my eyes out, I see just how much it all means to me and how lost I would be without it. And for that I thank J.K. with every inch of my broken and mended soul.

I finished reading it this morning.... it's so good! I was sad when that person died... but I knew it was gonna happen, it made so much sense for JKR to kill him off... I mean...hehe.... to make it more difficult for Harry in the 7th book.... anyways, Harry and *her* together is so cute! when he was thinking about her I was thinking "Yes! Yes!" haha
Okay, I have a question for you. It's about the books, but it's not a spoiler... Ya know how Snape in the first book asks Harry in the first Potions lesson where to find a bezoar? Well, he says it's a stone found in a stomach of a goat, and it will save you from most poisons. But, I'm wondering, does the goat just happen to eat a stone and you can dig it out and use it as an antidote? Or does he mean something like a gallstone? (eww) and what are the odds of finding a goat with a stone in it's stomach? Do you have to kill the goat, put it in the stomach, and then take it out? Sorry, I was really bored this morning after I read the book and I was thinking about bezoars... just curious, what do you guys think about it?? Does anyone know if it's a superstition that a stone from a goat's stomach, one that JKR didn't invent herself, or is it strictly from the HP world? I know, I'm a dork.
When we got our copy of Half-Blood Prince, my brother had "dibs" on reading it first... it was horrible. He'd come in the room and say, "Hey! Sarah! Guess what happened when (he said something that happens in the book)." Or "I wish I could (says something that someone does in the book), like wizards can!!" Or (my least favorite of them all) "Hey, Sarah.... (name of person) just died!!" Or, just to annoy me, he'd come in the room I was in and started reading aloud from the book.... he read aloud from the chapter entitled "The Cave", as you who have read it, know that's a very eventful chapter. Arrg... Anyone else have that problem with pesky story-spoiling siblings? Oh yeah, William also told me who the Half-Blood Prince was, right when he gave me the book when he was finished before I'd even started... seriously, how tactless can you get?
