Actually it's not all that biting, but she just doesn't seem to have the respect for him that we do. From the person who runs Danradcliffe.com I unfortunately just recently saw that movie. I was far from impressed. It should have been named "Jim Carey's Unfortnate Movie Choice". Awful awful movie. It was more a show-off for Jim than anything else, and he was annoying the entire movie. Although Liam was "OK" in this movie, based on that performance and from watching him on screen I can tell you he is leaps and bounds from having the ability to BE Harry Potter. Dan just IS Harry. And he is getting better with every instalment. www.radnet.org.uk/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?s=1f67ea37f68edf117bf003a4412f3183;act=ST;f=25;t=35658;st=16 - She made the last post Keep in mind that she has only seen ASOUE. now i command you all: DEBATE!

Urgh... I'm a HUGE Dan fan, and even I know Liam is a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better actor. He's just got a more believable pressence than Dan.

I think Liam is a more believable actor as well you just believe him when he does something. With Dan you can always see that he's acting. Not that that is a bad thing, Liam just blends into what ever he's doing better

I heart Dan so much but when you can tell someone is acting or trying to hard it ruins the whole film.

It's easy to BE a role, or BE a character, when you've been playing the same one for years. Just my two cents. Though I think he is an excellent choice for Potter, Daniel has yet to prove himself as an actor in any other way.

I posted a reply and this is what it said:
"I adore Dan, dont' get me wrong, I have for quite some time now. Sure he "is" Harry. But as much as I love Dan I can't quite buy his performance, something about it seems to "put on" like he's trying to hard to act. With that said, I'll discuss Liam. Perhaps you have never seen any of Liam's other films, but he is an excellent actor. He was born to do it. In Stepmom he brings a presence to the screen like non other. The ending scene is heartbreaking and you truely believe that he IS infact the character. Let's talk Good Boy! now I know talking dog films aren't exactly the greatest thing man ever invented, but as far as they go, this one is surprisingly good. Liam's emotional scene is spectacular, and he did it on the first take no less. He really is an emotional actor, he draws the audience in and they feel what he feels. That is something I have never quite gotten from Dan. Liam just has it, the whole package, the abiltity to morph from one character to the next, he's not pinned down and his skills grow beautifully with each film. I still cannot get over how amazing he was in Stepmom, it really is quite the achievement and he was so young too. I guess all I'm saying is you'd have to be on crack to say Liam isn't a good actor, because it's quite the opposite, he's brilliant and amazing. Dan is a perfectly fine Harry. You're right Liam was not meant to be Harry, it is definately Daniel's destiny. But to hold it against Liam that he tried out and almost had it at one point is absurd and definately not something Dan would think highly of. And I suppose that is all I have to say on that. "
I thought it not to mean and it said exactly what I wanted it to, I think.

I suppose the part that got to me was the "leaps and bounds" statement

I suppose the part that got to me was the "leaps and bounds" statement Indeed, 'tis absurd to trash someone just because they almost had a part.

I'm watching HP: TCOS and I can tell that Dan is acting, now I'm not trashing Dan, I'm just saying that I think Liam is WAY better of an actor than Dan is. Liam, makes you believe what you're seeing. He doesn't play the character, he becomes the character. And, if I didn't think that then, well, I wouldn't be here in the first place. Lol!

im a dan fan... but yeah you guys are right. Liam seems like the 'real thing' but Dan always has this thing that you know its staged. its like a play that was ran too many times (believe me, i know ALL about this 'running the play too much' stuff... i'm a livestage actress) Dan does really really well with the HP role, the only problem i had with one of his scenes was when he was crying because he thought that Sirius had sold his parents to Voldemort, he just didn't do that right... Liam can act sad and stuff, but Dan's more of the "happy" type of movie. (i'm not trying to bash Dan! i love his style)

It's hard to say how you feel without feeling like you've "betrayed" Dan.
